In The Twinkling Of An Eye

Jesus is coming soon!

And the enemy knows it. He continues to do the best that he can to steal, kill and destroy.

Even today...

Many of us know and believe that Jesus coming soon is not just a nice thing to hear, but reality. Others laugh and scoff and think we are crazy bible "whatevers"- even our fellow brethren. But we cannot be swayed by their ridicule, rejection or hatred. Especially knowing the great tribulation is moments away. And I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

So now what?

The spiritual attacks become more frequent and intense. More of our brethren turn back to the world and it's deceiving ways. Even the bride is weary from the battle and truthfully the temptation presents itself to us just as easily. But we cannot, by the grace of God, allow ourselves to be deceived. We are not of this world. We have to stay steadfast and set our minds on the things above, not the things of this world. This world and the things of it are quickly passing away but faith, hope and love shall remain.

Today all three of those, for me, have been challenged. How about you?

Where do we put our hope when our dreams are shattered? Where do we find our faith when we're kicked in the spiritual gut? And love. Love. Oh love...'The greatest of all these'. The word most commonly used yet so greatly abused and mistreated. Where do we find love with so many accusers of the brethren? What about forgiveness my fellow brother, my fellow sister? How long does the Lord have to put up with our perverse and wicked generation (Matt 17:17)? Do we have no regard for ALL HE HAS DONE FOR US?!

In the twinkling of an eye!

And where will we be? What will be doing? What will be the words we speak in that very moment?

I pray we may be accounted worthy to escape these things and stand before The Son Of Man.
